[About a companion who passed away from this world before the

occurrence of troubles]

Hazrat Ali r.a UMAR r.a ke mutalliq farmatey hain,
INHON NE jitne fitne uthe unhein seedha kiya, bari kamiyab siyasat ki, sunnat ko zinda rakha, deen ke khilaf saazishon ko khatm kia, woh dunya se paak saaf hokar gaye, inhon ne kher ko haasil kiya aur shar se mehfooz rahe aur Allah ki ata’at aur taqwa ka haq ada kia’

He has written in that ‘INHON NE’ se muraad the second Caliph ‘Umar’ hain.

[Delivered when Caliph `Umar ibn al-Khattab consulted Amir almu'minin about himself, taking part in the march towards Rome ( Byzantine Empire ).]

Jab hazrat UMAR r.a ne hazrat Ali r.a se roomiyon ke saath jihad mei apni shirkat ke mutalliq mashwara kia to hazrat Ali r.a ne jawab diya,

‘Aap khud tashreef na le jaayein balke kisi tajurba kaar shakhs ki sippa salari mei lashkar rawana kardein, agar Allah ne galba ata farmadiya to yahi aap ki khuwahish hai aur agar khuda na khuwasta shikast hogaye to aap ka wajood musalmano ke liye hosle ka baa’is hoga. Aap ki adam mojudgi mei KOI AISI SHAKHSIYAT NAZAR NAHI AATY JO MUSALMANO KE LIYE MARJA’ KE HESIYAT RAKHTY HO’

[Spoken when `Umar ibn al-Khattab consulted Amir al-mu'minin

about taking part in the battle of Persia.]

Is se bhi ziada wazahat is khutbe mei hai, Hazrat Ali ne UMAR r.a se farmaya,

‘musalmano ki fatah o shikast qillat o kasrat mei nahi balke yeh Allah ka wada hai ke who deen e islam ko galba ata farmaye ga aur Allah ka yeh wada pura hokar rahe ga. Aap khud tashreef na le jaayein kyunke Aap ki hesiyat HAAR KE US DHAAGE KI TARAH HAI JIS MEI MOTIYON KO PIROYA JATA HAI AGAR DHAGA TOOT JAAYE TO MOTY BIKHAR JAATEY HAIN. Musalmano ki ta’dad agar cha kam hai magar inhein eman ki quwwat hi kaafi hai. Aap CHAKKI KA QUTUB HAIN JIS KE GIRD CHAKKI GHOOMTY HAI, AAP QAAIM RAHENGE TO CHAKKI GHOOMTY RAHEGI. Agar aap binafse nafees medan e jang mei shirkat ke liye chale gaye to dushman yeh soch sakta hai key yeh musalmano ki bunyaad aur markaz hain, inehin khatam kardiya jaaye to musalmano ko asaani se shikast de jaasakty hai aur woh yeh soch kar aap per puri shiddat se hamla aawar honge is liye mera mashwara hai ke aap ka madene mei rehna medan e jang mei jaane se behtar hai’

Hazrat Ali r.a ne hazrat USMAN bin AFFAN r.a ko farmaya,

‘LOGON NE MERE AUR AAP KE DARMIYAN IKHTILAAF O NAFRAT PEDA KARNE KI KOSHISH KI HAI. Inhon ke aap ki khilaaf mukhtalif shikhayaat ki hain, magar mei aap se kiya kehsakta hun, JO HAM JANTEY HAIN WOH AAP BHI JAANTEY HAIN, hamare pass koi aisi imtiyazi cheez nahi hai jis se aap ko ba khabar karne ki zarurat ho, JO KUCH HAM NE SUNA WOH AAP NE BHI SUNA, JO HAM NE DIKHA WOH AAP NE BHI DEKHA, jis tarah ham Rasool s.a.w ke sahabi hain usi tarah aap bhi hain, aik lihaaz se aap ko Abu bakr o Umar r.a se bhi ziada fazeelat haasil hai aur who yeh ke Aap ko Rasool s.a.w ke damaad hone ka sharf haasil hai, jab ke un dono ko yeh sharf haasil nahi hosaka’

Note:

So after reading this sermon few points are highlighted:

1- Usman r.a knows what Ali r.a knows.

2- They both accompanied the Prophet p.b.u.h & both learned from him what they saw & heard.

3- Prophet p.b.u.h did not teach Ali r.a anything in secret so that he may tell Usman r.a about it nor does he have divine hidden secret knowledge (which the Prophet p.b.u.h entrusted only to him as shia claim)

4- Abu bakr r.a & Umar r.a both did righteous deeds ‘bi amal al-haq mink’ but Usman r.a is entitled to do more since the Prophet p.b.u.h married him two of his daughters.

[To Mu'awiya on his (Ali's) right to the caliphate.]

Hazrat Ali r.a ne 3 khulfa ki khilafat ka iqrar o aitraaf kartey huwe ameer muawya r.a ke jawab mei farmaya,

‘meri bait un logon ne ki hai jinhon ne Abu bakr, Umar aur Usman ki bait ki thy…shura ka haq muhajireen o ansaar ko haasil hai, agar woh kisi shakhs ko apna Imam bana lein to usi mei ALLAH KI RAZA HAI, aur agar koi muhajireen o ansaar ke banaye huwe us imam ki imamat ko tasleem nahi karta to use MAJBOOR KIA JAAYEGA, aur agar who inkaar kare to USSE JANG KI JAAYEGI kyunke woh musalmano ka raasta chor ka alag raasta ikhtiyar karna aur intishaar phelana chahta hai’

Note:

> Agar yeh log kisi ko apna Imam banalein to us mei Allah ki raza hai..jab moula Ali khud keh rahe hain ke is mei Allah ki raza hai to tum kon hotey ho iske khilaaf baat karne wale.

> Is mei hazrat Ali ne wazahat ki hai ke khilafat o imamat NOMINATION k zarye nahi balke INTIKHAAB se hota hai aur yeh ikhtiyaar muhajireen o ansaar ko haasil hai, woh jise musalmano ka khaleefa MUNTAKHIB karlein us ki bait zaruri hai.

> JAB ke SHIA deen mei kisi ko khaleefa o imam bana ne ka ikhtiyaar bandon ke paas nahi balke Allah ke paas hai. SHIA ke nazdeek khilafat o imamat hazrat Ali r.a ka haq isliye tha ke Allah ne NASS ke zarye aap ko musalmano ka khaleefa banaya tha magar hazrat Ali r.a ka yeh irshaad SHIA moqaf ki waazih TARDEED KAR RAHA HAI.

[When people decided to Swear allegiance at Amir al-mu'minin's hand after the

murder of `Uthman’]

Hazrat USMAN r.a ki shahadat ke baad jab aap ko khaleefa banne ki peshkash ki gaye to Ali r.a ne farmaya,

‘da’uni wal tamisu gairee’ mujhe imam bana ne aur meri bait karne k bajaye kisi aur ko talash karo..jis ko tum khaleefa banaogey mei uski ata’at tum se bhi zyada karunga’ aur

‘Wa ana lakum wazeera kher lakum minni ameera’ tumhare liye khaleefa banne ki nisbat mera wazeer banna behtar hai’

Note:

>Isse saabit hota hai ke Aap ki khilafat mansoos ‘Min-Allah’ nahi jesa ke shia qoum ki aqeeda hai warna Aap RAD NA KARTEY kyun ke shia deem mei khilafat nabuwwat ki tarah hai to jis tarah NABUWWAT RAD NAHI HOSAKTY usi tarah KHILAFAT O IMAMT BHI RAD NAHI HOSAKTY.

>Is nass se yeh bhi saabit hota hai ke hazrat Ali r.a us waqt tak khaleefa nahi thy kyun ke Aap ka irshad hai, ‘jis ko tum khaleefa banaogey mei uski ata’at karunga’

>Agar khilafat Aap ka SHARI HAQ HOTY to aap yeh na farmatey ke ‘JIS KO TUM KHALEEFA BANAOGEY’ balke farmaatey ‘ALLAH NE MUJHE MUSALMANO KA KHALEEFA O IMAM BANAYA HAI AUR TUM PER MERI ATA’AT FARZ HAI.

>Aur yeh alfaaz ‘khaleefa banne ki nisbat mera wazeer banna behtar hai’ yeh alfaaz bhi is baat ki dalaalat kartey hain ke Ali r.a shahadate Usman ke waqt tak khaleefa na thy aur apni khilafat ko ahle hal o aqad ki bait per moqoof samjhtey thy.

>Saabit hua ke khilfat ka inhisaar AHL O AQAD per hai aur hazrat Ali r.a NA KAHALEEFA BILA FASL HAIN aur NA KHILAFAT MANSOOS MIN-ALLAH hai.

Sermon: 204

[After swearing allegiance to Amir al-mu'minin, Talhah and az-Zubayr complained to

him that he had not consulted them or sought their assistance in the affairs (of state).]

Ali (رضّى الله عنه) said:

"Khuda ki qasam! Mujhe to kabhi bhi apne liye khilafat aur hukumat ki haajat o tamanna nahi rahi. Tum hi logon ne mujhe is ki taraf dawat dee aur is per aamada kiya’

SHIA MUFASSIR Ali bin ibraahim QUMMI likhta hai,

aik din Rasool s.a.w ne hafsa se kaha, ‘mere baad Abu bakr khaleefa honge aur in ke baad tere waalid yani Umar r.a. Hafsa ne pucha Aap ko kese maaloom hua?
Aap s.a.w ne farmaya ‘Allah u akhbarni’ mujhe Allah ne batlaya hai’

Ali’s saidرضّى الله عنه)
“I am ashamed before Allah to overturn something that was prohibited by Abu Bakr and continued by Umar.”

(Sharh Nahjul-Balagha;; Vol.1, p.132)

Ali ibn Abi Talib said to Zubair: “(Although) we got angry momentarily at the time of consultation (i.e. Saqifah), we can now see that Abu Bakr is the most deserving of the Caliphate: He was the companion of the Messenger of Allah in the cave. We know of his life and we know that the Messenger of Allah had ordered him to lead the prayers.” And then he (Ali) gave his Baya’ah (to Abu Bakr).

[About the Kharijites]

Ali (رضّى الله عنه) said:

'mere baare mei 2 qism ke log tabah o barbar honge,

1. mujhe had se ziada chahne wale, yeh chahat unhein sachai se door le jayegi

2. mujh se dushmani rakhne wale, yeh dushmani unhein sachai se door le jayegi

MERE BAARE MEI DARMIYANI RAAYE IKHTYAR KARNE WALE HI SAB SE BEHTAR HONGE, TUM ISI RAAH PER JAME REHNA AUR ISI BARi JAMAT KE SAATH LAG JAANA. choonke Allah ka haath ittefaq o ittehad rakhne walon per hai aur tafarruqa o intishaar se baaz aajao isliye ke jamat se alag hojaane wala shetan ke hisse mei chala jata hai,

khabardar! jo bhi aise naa're laga kar apni taraf bulaye use qatal kardo AGAR CHA ISI IMAME KE NEECHE Q NA HO'

[Admonishing his companions about careless behaviour]

Ali (رضّى الله عنه) said:

‘Tum HAQ ko itna nahi pehchantey jitna tum BAATIL ko pehchantey ho. Jitna tum HAQ ko mita tey ho utna tum se BAATIL nahi dabaya jaata'
